HCC FYEX 100-114 Sustainability Project

This blog will act as an online journal for my class to share their experiences as they participate in a sustainability project. First, they will recycle an old t-shirt to create a reusable shopping bag. Second, they will use their t-shirt bag instead of a disposable bag every chance they get for the month of October. Each time they use the bag, they will record their use on this blog. At the end of the month, we will see how many disposable bags they saved.

Dollar Store

Today I went to the dollar store because I needed food, drinks, and soap. when I went to pay they asked if I needed a bag and I was like hold on, I left my bag in the car. I ran out to my car and got my bag. When I came back in I put my things in my bag and went home happy.

I think the hardest thing is remembering to bring a re-usable bag with you when you go shopping. I have left mine in the car more than once. I am impressed that you ran out and got your bag instead of taking a disposable one!

I probably would have done the same thing. Then five seconds later realized that the bag was in the car, so i get the situation that you were in. But that is cool that you saved bags at the dollar store and used it to collect those items, and good job.
