This blog will act as an online journal for my class to share their experiences as they participate in a sustainability project. First, they will recycle an old t-shirt to create a reusable shopping bag. Second, they will use their t-shirt bag instead of a disposable bag every chance they get for the month of October. Each time they use the bag, they will record their use on this blog. At the end of the month, we will see how many disposable bags they saved.

derricks reusable shopping bag 1.
I have had a very difficult time trying to get my blog together. I am finally able to blog thanks to Mrs. Budden. Let me tell you about this bag. I have alot to talk about but I will just start with my first experience with it. I went to my neighborhood grocery store with my bag and the cashier asked me why am I walking around with a hand made bag. I told her that I was was doing a school project and trying to use less plastic for the enviroment. She stated to me that she was aware of some green projects that were going on within the store. She wished me good luck and I said thank you. The only problem I had that day was my vinegar bottle cap was not on tight and spilled in the bag. I was walking around the store with a smelly bag. Thats ok I have smelled worse. Derrick

I have seen alot of people trying to go green too. That sucks about the vinegar. My parents had a jug of wine for a family member in the trunk of our rental car and it broke.
ReplyDeleteMany people these days are going green. It was pretty good to go to a store that understands how to go green.
